02Data collection
Aquably collects no personal data whatsoever. There is no registration, no profile, no telemetry and no crash reporting. We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, location, device identifiers, advertising ID, contacts, photos or usage statistics.
The information you type into the app — tank names, water-test readings, maintenance schedules, livestock records and observations — is created by you, stored by you, and visible only to you on your device.
03How your information is used
Everything the app does with your entries happens locally, on the device, with no network involved:
- Classifying each reading against the safe range for your tank type.
- Computing tank health scores, trends, charts and statistics.
- Scheduling recurring maintenance and building the Today/Upcoming agenda.
- Tracking streaks, goals and achievements.
- Producing JSON and CSV exports when you ask for one.
None of this processing sends anything off the device.
04Data sharing
We share nothing, because we receive nothing. Your data is not sold, rented, transferred or disclosed to any third party, advertiser, analytics provider or data broker.
If you use the export feature, the resulting file is handed to your device's own share sheet and goes only where you choose to send it. That transfer is under your control and outside the scope of this policy.
05Data security
Your records are stored in a local Hive database in the app's private storage area, which the Android operating system isolates from other apps. Settings and sensitive values are held in flutter_secure_storage, backed by the Android Keystore. Private observations are stored in a Hive box encrypted with AES-256, using a key generated on your device and kept in secure storage.
Because nothing is transmitted, there is no server-side database to breach and no account credentials to steal.
06Data retention
Your data stays on the device until you remove it. You are always in control:
- Settings → Remove sample data deletes the example content only.
- Settings → Clear all data permanently deletes every tank, reading, task, note and achievement.
- Uninstalling the app removes all of its local storage.
We hold no copy, so there is nothing for us to delete or retain on your behalf.
07No user accounts
Aquably has no sign-up, no sign-in, no password and no cloud profile. You cannot create an account because none exists. The app is fully functional from first launch with no identity of any kind.
08Children's privacy (COPPA)
Aquably is not directed at children and is not enrolled in the Google Play "Designed for Families" programme. Because the app collects no personal information from anyone, of any age, it cannot knowingly or unknowingly collect information from a child under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). It is therefore compliant with COPPA by design.
09Your rights
Rights such as access, portability, correction and erasure normally require a request to the publisher. In Aquably you exercise them directly, without asking anyone:
- Access & portability — export a full JSON backup or CSV at any time.
- Correction — edit or delete any record in the app.
- Erasure — Settings → Clear all data, or uninstall.
- Objection / restriction — not applicable; no processing occurs off-device.
10No third-party services
Aquably integrates no third-party SDKs. There is no Firebase, no Google Analytics, no advertising network, no crash reporter, no attribution service and no social login. The app contains no ads, no in-app purchases and no subscriptions.
11Permissions
Aquably requests exactly one Android permission:
- INTERNET
- Used solely to display this privacy policy page inside the app when you tap Settings → Privacy policy. No other network request is ever made, and none of your data accompanies it.
The app requests no camera, microphone, location, contacts, storage, phone or notification permission.
12Google Play Data Safety
Our Google Play Data Safety declaration states that no data is collected and no data is shared. This is accurate and complete: every feature — including insights, charts, streaks, achievements and export — is computed entirely on the device.
13Policy dates & changes
- Effective date
- 21 July 2026
- Last updated
- 21 July 2026
If this policy changes materially, the updated version will be published at this URL with a new "Last updated" date, and the app version accompanying the change will note it in its release notes.
14Contact
Questions about this policy or about privacy in Aquably can be sent to [DEVELOPER_EMAIL]. Because we hold no data about you, we will not be able to look up "your account" — there isn't one — but we are happy to answer any question about how the app works.
15Legal & compliance
This policy is provided by an organization (company) Google Play developer account and is written to satisfy the Google Play User Data policy, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA) and the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).
Under GDPR terms, no personal data is processed, so no lawful basis, data controller registration, international transfer mechanism or Data Protection Officer is engaged. Under CCPA/CPRA, we do not collect, sell or share personal information, and therefore honour the "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" right by default.
Aquably records the readings you enter and compares them with commonly published hobbyist reference ranges. It is a logbook, not veterinary or animal-health advice.
